Manual Handling
Do your customers comply with the Regulations?
Muskculoskeletal disorders (MSD’s) caused by manual handling, affect muscles, joints and tendons and are the most common type of work related injuries in the UK. This affects 1.1 million people in a year and an estimated 12.3 million working days a year are lost to work-related MSD’s*. Factors causing this type of injury are evident in almost any occupation from health services to construction.
There are cost effective ways to prevent MSD’s. The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 (as amended) establish clear measures for dealing with risks associated with manual handling.
